Job summary

AZZ Inc. is seeking a 1st shift Forklift Operator at the Hurst facility. You will handle receipt and shipment of materials, operate in the yard, and work primarily outside in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities include receiving goods, moving products with a forklift, weighing loads, and coordinating shipments. Certification is preferred and 1–2 years of related experience is helpful. Cross-training opportunities exist within production.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Certified forklift operator is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is helpful.

• Receive goods, verify order, inspect condition of goods.
• Move product to and from storage, production areas, and loading dock via forklift.
• Scale incoming & outgoing loads on truck scale.
• Upload photos and documents into our system.
• Coordinate outgoing shipments with shipping and receiving personnel.
• Verify identifying information – counts, weights, measurements, etc., against records.
• Perform daily inspection of equipment.
• Follow AZZ’s truck driver policy processes.
• Position will cross train to various other roles within production.

Job Description

AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Forklift Operator at our Hurst facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the receipt and/or shipment of materials, supplies, and products. You will be working primarily in the yard in an enclosed forklift/spotter truck. Must be able to work outside in multiple weather conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive goods, verify order, inspect condition of goods
• Move product to and from storage, production areas, and loading dock via forklift
• Scale incoming & outgoing loads on truck scale
• Upload photos and documents into our system
• Coordinate outgoing shipments with shipping and receiving personal
• Verify identifying information – counts, weights, measurements, etc. against BOLs, invoices, orders and/or other records
• Performs daily inspection of equipment
• Follows all necessary processes and procedures in AZZ’s truck driver policy
• Forklift experience preferred though not necessary
• Position will cross train to various other roles within production

Qualifications

• 1 – 2 years related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control and costs, knowledge of hand tools and equipment is preferred.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Certified forklift operator is preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent is helpful.
