Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, or pallet jacks to move goods.
• Load/unload trailers and secure pallets; shrink-wrap as needed.
• Accurately pick orders and track stock using RF scanners or WMS.
• Perform daily equipment safety checks and report hazards.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and escalate issues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Safely operate sit‑down, stand‑up, reach trucks, or pallet jacks to transport goods between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers/containers, securing, shrink‑wrapping pallets to prevent damage during transit.
• Inventory Control: Accurately pick orders, rotate stock, track merchandise using RF scanners or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Safety Compliance: Conduct OSHA‑required daily equipment checks; report hazards immediately and maintain a clean, hazard‑free work zone.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic upkeep and escalating mechanical issues.

Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ years of proven warehouse or heavy machinery (forklift) operating experience.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; excellent hand‑eye coordination; basic math/computer skills.
• Work Environment: Operators usually work in a busy, fast‑paced distribution or fulfillment center.
• Shifts: Shifts may include nights, weekends, and overtime occasionally to meet delivery demands.

Physical Requirements

• Seat, stand, crouch or bend for extended periods of time.
