Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Hillsboro, Oregon is hiring a First Shift Weekend Forklift Operator. You will move stock within the warehouse using stand-up, sit-down, and electric pallet jacks, loading and unloading shipments while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities for inventory accuracy and compliance with OSHA/MSDS, training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of forklift-training program within first 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using forklifts or other equipment 80% of shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring exact numbers and types.
• Keep records for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank; monitor power source.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly facilities.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The core responsibilities of this role include: Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, pallet jack, etc.) to move materials throughout the warehouse. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently. Inspect equipment daily before use to ensure safe operation. Perform accurate inventory handling and documentation as required. Stack and organize materials according to company safety and efficiency standards. Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area. Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors.

Position: First Shift Weekend Forklift Operator

Shift: 6:00am – 6:30pm, Friday – Sunday

Role Purpose :

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Key Accountabilities:

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
