Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Forklift Operator to move stock in a fast-paced, safety-focused warehouse. You will load and unload shipments, operate stand-up, sit-down, or pallet jacks, and ensure accurate labeling and storage of materials.

The role offers a 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with pay at $19.75 per hour, plus monthly performance and safety incentive rewards for full-time employees, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or completion of forklift-training program within first 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move stock within the warehouse using forklifts and other power equipment.
• Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently.
• Assist in labeling, sorting, and storing materials accurately.
• Maintain records and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and upkeep.

The core responsibilities of this role include:

• Safely operating cherry picker, reach truck, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Accurately labeling, sorting, and storing materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Picking and packing customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Lifting materials or products by hand, up to 50 lbs.
• Loading and unloading shipments safely and efficiently using pallet jacks or similar equipment.

Shift:1st , 6:00 AM –; 2:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Pay: $19.75 per hour

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, as this position requires standing for the majority of the shift (excluding breaks).

Role Purpose

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused. We move products that people need and want. At DHL, YOU will be an essential part of everyday life.

Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience
