Job summary

Black Hills Trucking LLC is hiring for a full-time on-site Trucking Operations role in Casper, Wyoming. The candidate will operate forklifts, load and unload pipes, and maintain safe, organized work areas in an oilfield yard. Strong reading of safety rules and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are required.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ability to pass DOT physicals and drug/alcohol tests. Competitive benefits accompany this position.

Responsibilities

• Operate center oscillating Pettibone and Doosan forklifts in an oilfield pipe yard to load, unload, and transport pipe and tubular materials.
• Load and unload pipes and other materials from trucks and railcars, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
• Assist in maintaining safe and organized pipe racks.
• Verify loads are secured and compliant with safety standards before transport.
• Count and verify materials against shipping documents; assist with inventory control.
• Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures during material handling and operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate center oscillating Pettibone and Doosan forklifts in an oilfield pipe yard environment to load, unload, and transport pipe and tubular materials.

• Assist in ensuring pipe racks are maintained in a safe and organized condition.
• Verify loads are properly secured and compliant with safety standards prior to transport.
• Count and verify materials against shipping documents; assist with inventory control and reconciliation.
• Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance on forklifts and related equipment.
• Maintain adherence to all safety procedures while performing material handling and equipment operation.

What We’re Looking For:

• A high school diploma or equivalent education with zero to two (0-2) years’ experience in oilfield or trucking operations; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to meet physical requirements established by the Department of Transportation, including drug/alcohol testing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Possession of a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of equipment to be operated.
• OSHA forklift certification preferred or can pass operator test for certification.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
