Job summary

Dynamic Homes, LLC. in Detroit Lakes, MN seeks a Forklift Operator to receive, store and ship materials for modular construction. Starting wage is $19.55/hr with a $0.75 raise after completing certifications for both Class 5 & 7 lifts. The role may require some evening hours and clerical duties as needed.

Eligibility includes warehouse experience, ability to read shipping documents, and forklift certification; high attention to detail is essential. Valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 Years of warehouse experience.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents to verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Ability to operate barcode readers and computer terminals.
• Strict attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to perform physical work overhead for extended periods.
• Ability to use mathematics and measuring devices to calculate length, width, height, depth, etc.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instruction.
• Ability to lift to 80 pounds comfortably and consistently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming shipments for quantity and quality, sort, and separate material for storage.
• Operate a stand-up or sit-down forklift to load, unload, stack, and rotate stock.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure documents are complete and concerns reported.
• Meet productivity requirements.
• Maintain inventory, tools and supplies.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow safety policies including wearing PPE.
• Foster cooperative working relationships with staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working with a team or individually, the Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping a variety of supplies and materials used in modular construction. Performs clerical duties, as necessary.

Physical Demands

The position lifts heavy objects up to 80 pounds, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor in a climate-controlled environment. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Evening work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is primarily not expected in this role, although some out-of-area travel may be expected.

Experience
