Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator in College Park, GA. You will move stock within a fast-paced warehouse, load and unload shipments, label and store materials, and operate stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks.

The role requires standing for long periods, flexibility to work across departments, and adherence to safety standards. Company offers benefits and incentive rewards for performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or completion of forklift-training program within 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other power equipment 80% of shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring correct quantity and type.
• Maintain inventory records and reports for accuracy.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; report variances as needed.
• Change battery or LP tank; monitor power source.
• Keep equipment and facilities tidy and orderly.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The core responsibilities of this role include:

• Safely operating cherry picker, reach truck, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Accurately labeling, sorting, and storing materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Picking and packing customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Lifting materials or products by hand, up to 50 lbs.
• Loading and unloading shipments safely and efficiently using pallet jacks or similar equipment.

Position: Forklift Operator

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Pay: $19.75per hour

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, as this position requires standing for the majority of the shift (excluding breaks).

Role Purpose

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
