Job summary

Sea Box, Inc. is seeking a qualified forklift operator to move materials within our on-site warehouse and production areas in New Jersey. The role requires a valid forklift certification and 1–2 years of related experience.

You will be responsible for safe handling, quality checks, and supporting production flow while adhering to ISO 9001 standards. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and an hourly wage of $22.00–$27.00, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Certified forklift operator required.
• 1–2 years related forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
• Pursue cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Support ISO 9001 quality system through self-inspection of work.
• Inspect containers and move them safely to ensure timely delivery.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Load/unload materials from pallets and transport vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including charging or fueling as needed.
• Weigh materials and record production data.
• Operate automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
• Turn valves to control material flow and release materials as required.
• Signal workers for discharge, dumping, or material leveling.
• Lift production objects up to 50 lbs.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Operate industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location.

Job Summary

This position reports to the Department Supervisor. The ideal candidate should be a certified forklift operator and have experience in a similar position. Detail-oriented and team player.

Responsibilities

• Accident prevention – actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
• Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
• Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
• Inspect containers, and safely move it around the facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
• Move controls to drive forklift, top loader, and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
• Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
• Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
• Turn valves and open chutes to dump, spray, or release materials from dump cars or storage bins into hoppers.
• Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials.
• Lifting production objects of up to 50lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Employees are eligible for most benefits on the 1st of the month following date of hire.

Hourly Rate Range: $22.00 - $27.00 / hour

Location

This position is onsite (non-remote) at the Company’s corporate headquarters in Cinnaminson, NJ. This position may occasionally require working overtime and/or working outside of the Company’s normal hours of operation.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: The candidate should possess 1-2 years' related experience. Experience operating 10-30k lift capacity and 6-9ft. forklifts.
