Job summary

Reworld Solutions, LLC is seeking a Waste Processing Technician I (WPTI) for our Sustainable Site Solutions division. The role involves collecting and processing waste at a client facility, operating forklifts, balers, and related equipment under PM guidance.

The position emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork to meet client goals and company values as we pursue sustainable waste solutions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in shipping/receiving like environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Able to pass respirator fit test.
• Ability to utilize NetSuite.
• Must exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors.
• Process waste materials into like commodities or per vendor specifications.
• General housekeeping.
• Sweeping, washing and other area maintenance.
• Preventative Maintenance paperwork for equipment.
• Loading/Unloading of van trailers and/or flat beds.
• Managing collection points within a client’s facility.
• Interact with plant personnel to support safety and performance goals.

About the role

Waste Processing Technician I (WPTI) is an entry-level position within the Sustainable Site Solutions division of Reworld. The WPTI is responsible for the collection and processing of waste material from their client’s facility. The WPTI takes their direction from the Project Manager when applicable. The WPTI will utilize various forms of machinery to perform their everyday tasks, including forklifts, compactors, and balers. This position will handle various types of waste during their daily routine and is expected to be safety conscious and understand the correct PPE to utilize during their tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors, etc.
• Process waste materials into like commodities or in accordance with vendor specifications
• General housekeeping.
• Sweeping, washing and other maintenance of the area(s) Reworld is responsible for
• Preventative Maintenance paperwork for equipment
• Loading/Unloading of van trailers and/or flat beds
• Managing collection points within a client’s facility

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other power tools. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending, or twisting for extended periods of time. Walking and/or standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Position requires working near and around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $38,028.00 - $52,276.00
