Job summary

The Chefs’ Warehouse is seeking a forklift operator to manage pallet storage, rotation, and movement within a warehouse environment. You will operate stand-up or high-reach forklifts to put away pallets, unload trailers, and replenish stock while ensuring safe handling and cleanliness of docks and bins.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and forklift experience with proven ability to pass a forklift exam. Prior warehouse/distribution exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years forklift experience preferred.
• Team player with ability to work across teams.
• Must be able to pass forklift operating exam.
• Warehouse/distribution facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up or high-reach forklift to store pallets up to 46 feet.
• Pick, sort, and replenish products from upper racks to front bins.
• Unload products from trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Move products from receiving docks to proper storage areas.
• Enforce and follow safe handling procedures.
• Replenish products in cooler storage areas.
• Monitor product quality during movement.
• Break down pallets on receiving docks.
• Maintain cleanliness of receiving docks and bin areas.
• Clean and charge forklift at shift end.
• Record daily actions using RF Scan Gun.

Position Summary

The forklift operator is responsible for putting away, dropping down, and rotating full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a stand-up or sit-down forklift. This position will require the individual to work in all different type of conditions( temps of 0 degrees to 80 degrees).

What You’ll Do

• Maneuver Stand-Up or High Reach forklift to put away or let down pallets into warehouse racks up to 46 feet high.
• Picks/sorts and replenishes product from upper racks to front pick bins.
• Unloads product from trailers using forklift trucks and powered riding pallet jacks.
• Manually moves product from receiving dock to proper storage location.
• Monitors and enforces safe product handling procedures.
• Replenishes product from upper storage rack to lower pick bins within cooler.
• Monitors product quality as product is being moved.
• Breaks down pallets on receiving dock.
• Maintains cleanliness (sweep, mop, restack pallets) of receiving docks and pick bin area.
• Cleans and charges forklift at the end of shift.
• Record daily actions by use of RF Scan Gun

About You

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Team player who works productively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to pass a forklift operating exam.
• Warehouse/distribution facility experience preferred.
