Job summary

All-Star Tire Company Inc. is seeking a Forklift Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair IC and electric forklifts in our shop and at customer sites around the Houston area.

You will manage your own service calls in a company-provided truck, perform preventive maintenance, document findings, and advise on improvements to keep equipment safe and moving. The ideal candidate has hands-on forklift or heavy equipment experience, works well independently and with a team, and adheres to the highest

Qualifications

• Previous forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, or fleet repair experience desired.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must own basic hand tools.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues on IC (LP, gas, diesel) and electric forklifts
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and planned maintenance inspections
• Service and repair masts, hydraulics, brakes, steering, transmissions, engines, batteries, and chargers
• Complete accurate work orders including labor hours, parts used, findings, and recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle
• Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures on every job
• Communicate professionally with customers and the rest of the service team
