Associated is seeking a Forklift Field Service Technician for Milwaukee/Racine territory. The role uses electro-mechanical repair skills to service forklifts at customer sites, with a focus on installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

A flexible schedule options include a 4-day/10-hour week or a 5-day/8-hour week, with paid travel time after the first 30 minutes per day. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years mechanical/electrical/hydraulic

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical forklift systems and perform installations and scheduled maintenance.
• Analyze breakdowns, implement corrective actions, and complete on-site repairs professionally.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism with clients.

Responsibilities:

As a Forklift Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers by:

• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing electro-mechanical issues, completing installations, and performing both unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance based on customer requirements.
• Problem Analysis and Resolutions: Analyzing breakdown situations, recommending corrective actions to customers, and executing repairs efficiently and professionally.
• Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrating professionalism and fostering positive relationships with customers while delivering superior customer service.

Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in reading schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals, coupled with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and material handling equipment.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to exchange information courteously, and a commitment to exceptional customer relations.
• Safety and Resourcefulness: Competency in safely operating various equipment and personal hand tools, coupled with the ability to leverage available support resources effectively.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the following physical activities on a regular basis:

Must be able to operate a forklift, you must safely fit inside a tight operator compartment measuring 16 to 20 inches wide and perform mechanical repairs in restricted, confined spaces.

Strength & Lifting

• Light Work– Regularly lift and move up to20 lbs.
• Medium Work– Frequently lift and move up to50 lbs.
• Heavy Work– Occasionally lift and move up to100 lbs.
• Very Heavy Work– Rarely required to lift over110 lbs..
• Note:The role may also involve extended periods of walking and standing.

Communication Requirements

Education and Experience:A high school diploma/GED along with one to three years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience in a similar environment or equivalent vocational education. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
