Job summary

Steffes Corporation in Shelby, NC is seeking a warehouse/parts staging associate responsible for staging parts, moving Kanban containers, and delivering completed parts to the next operation.

You will operate forklift when needed, verify packing slips, inspect items for damage, and support year-end inventory and yard work while upholding Steffes' core values of safety, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.).
• Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills.
• -OR- an acceptable combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to designated areas manually or with forklift.
• Unload and load freight.
• Verify items on packing slip for quantities received and backordered.
• Inspect product for damage and document as needed.
• Place inventory in designated areas and attach Kanban cards.
• Assist in year-end inventory procedures.
• Participate in general yard work and maintain a collaborative work environment.
• Support achievement of Steffes' strategic, quality, and safety objectives.
