Job summary

GEDIA North America in Dalton, Georgia is seeking a forklift operator to manage receiving, shipping, and material movement on the 2nd shift. You will ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency by moving stock to pallets, scanning with SAP, and verifying shipments.

The role requires valid forklift certification, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and attention to detail. You will work in a fast-paced logistics environment, upholding company policies and contributing to on-time, accurate deliveries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as forklift operator.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties involved in the receiving/shipping of material into GEDIA.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
• Accurately arrange shipments to all customers.
• Accurately label customer shipments, steel, work in process, and component parts.
• Accurately scan inventory into SAP.
• Inventory must be accurate in all areas of materials and logistics.
• 100% accuracy when auditing customer freight.
• Verify all material incoming and outgoing to the shippers/ receivers, preventing all mistakes in the system for all customers and suppliers.
• All tasks arising in logistic/materials area are carried out objectively correct on schedule, swiftly and economically.
