Job summary

Stratosphere Quality is seeking a Tugger Operator for the 2nd shift (3:45 PM–12:30 AM) to operate forklifts and manage material movement in our Alabama facility. You will load, unload, and relocate goods, maintain shipping accuracy, and keep detailed records to support inventory control.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic math and reading skills, attention to safety, and a valid forklift certification per OSHA standards. RF scanner experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
  • RF scanner gun.
  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads product; safely stacking and storing.
  • Moves product from staging or storage areas to designated areas in the facility.
  • Ensures accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Maintains records/reports to guarantee accuracy and inventory.
  • Assists with physical inventory.
  • Complies with OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Performs daily equipment checks and maintenance logs.
  • Executes assignments accurately, timely and safely.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary Of Responsibilities

Operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and moves them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks into trucks or storage facilities. The Forklift operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the unit.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains appropriate records/reports to guarantee accuracy and inventory
  • Assists with physical inventory

  • Performs daily equipment checks and maintains maintenance log
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
  • Maintains a clean & safe environment
  • All other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
