Basden Steel Corporation, based in Burleson, TX, is seeking a Forklift Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will follow the facility's preventative maintenance program and conduct scheduled inspections of forklifts to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized maintenance area, assisting in equipment testing, and documenting all maintenance actions while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Physical effort to move objects up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
• A high level of dexterity.
• As needed, provide basic tools per the Job.
• Operate motor vehicles.
• Develop basic computer skills.
• Ability to support all plant operations.
• Advocate safety at all levels.

Responsabilités

• Follow the facility's preventative maintenance program
• Conduct scheduled inspections of Forklifts
• Maintain clean and organized environment in the Maintenance Department work area; promptly clean up after maintenance and repair work is completed within the facility
• Assist in equipment testing and follow manufacturer's guidelines
• Perform corrective actions required for out-of-specification conditions as directed by supervisor
• Assist in analytical troubleshooting of issues to maintain equipment.
• Accurately record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, and repairs
• Promptly report observed equipment, facility, and maintenance needs to supervisor
• Make suggestions for changes which would help the facility achieve improved efficiency, quality, and safety
• Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts
• This position is responsible for safe work practices and responsible manner to prevent damage of equipment or property
• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand, and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism

Based locally in Burleson, TX.
