Job summary

LCI in Louisville, KY is hiring for an on-site material handler. You will load, unload, and move materials within the plant and yard, following work orders and safety guidelines. The role requires lifting, operating a pallet jack, and basic sorting and labeling tasks.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:15am-3:40pm with a focus on reliability and teamwork. Prior manufacturing exposure and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; good reading and writing skills. Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load materials into vehicles and secure with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Read work orders or follow instructions to determine materials to be moved.
• Load and unload materials onto/off pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Convey materials from storage/work sites to designated areas using hand truck or pallet jack.
• Count, weigh, and record number of units moved or handled.
• Attach tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases or containers.
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist and clean work area and equipment.
