Job summary

Zeeland Lumber & Supply in Sparta, Michigan is seeking an entry-level Yard/Warehouse Rep I to receive, stock, ship and count inventory items, with forklift operation to move lumber and building materials, load deliveries, and maintain accurate records.

You will perform duties within established safety procedures, participate in a positive team environment, support inventory control, assist customers and coworkers, and keep bays and staging areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to do basic math and read orders.
• Ability/willingness to learn to read a tape measure.
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Proficiency with or ability to learn inventory systems and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely.

• Assist warehouse team and supervisor in maintaining an organized area.
• May include cleaning bays and staging areas.
• Receive incoming products and materials.
• Count and record receipt of materials.
• Stock materials in correct locations.

• Load and unload orders as needed.
