Job summary

Summit Handling Systems, Inc is seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to service forklifts and related equipment at our Commack facility. The role requires independence, strong diagnostics, and hands-on maintenance in a state-of-the-art shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Must be able to operate a computer and document service work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspection and service on various configurations of equipment.
• Ensure forklift is functioning and safe for operation.
• Interact with operators to identify malfunctions and document issues.
• Test operate machinery to detect issues and perform repairs.
• Maintain service records and parts changes for each job.
• Plan work using manuals and experience to ensure timely repair.
