Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a Material Handler in Idaho to move materials between production lines and warehouse safely and efficiently. This full-time, hourly position requires forklift experience and a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.

The role includes operating a forklift, ensuring proper labeling, and using a handheld device for inventory. It offers daytime hours with potential overtime and Saturday work as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two or more years forklift operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to use a computer independently to complete tasks.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Willingness to follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Willingness to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy environments.
• High level attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Transport racks of material safely with forklift.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling procedures are followed.
• Perform inventory transactions with handheld device when moving material.
• Assist with other production functions as needed.
• Proper PPE usage while performing all job duties.
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist in Monthly Inventory Cycle Counting.

Starting Salary: $18.00

Employment Type: Hourly FT

Work Environment: Monday – Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm with overtime including extended hours and Saturday as needed.

• High level attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical sawmill environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Travel:

This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
