Goodwill Industries of Kansas is seeking a qualified forklift operator/warehouse support to assist truck drivers with loading and unloading and to move materials within the warehouse. You will operate a powered forklift and pallet jack, maintain warehouse standards, and support deliveries and pickups while ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks.

The role requires one year of forklift experience and the ability to pass forklift certification.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

QUALIFICATIONS/

EDUCATION:

Have one year's experience driving forklift. Prefer GED or high school diploma.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of experience operating a fork lift, with good safe operating record. Must be able to pass forklift training for certification.

JOB COMPETENCIES;

Load and unload trucks as needed using powered forklift and pallet jack. Maintain warehouse standards. Assist with baler operations as needed. May assist drivers with deliveries and pick ups. Move materials in and out of the warehouse as needed. Understand ISO requirements . Make sure all items are placed in appropriate area. Do not damage any product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Drive powered forklift to load/unload trucks. May be required to use pallet jack.
• Move materials in/out and around warehouse as required, stacking in designated areas appropriately so Gaylord's do not fall.
• Assist baler operator as needed.
• Load and unload merchandise for store deliveries and Contracts safely without damaging.
• Load bale trucks as needed.
• Assist with special pick-ups and deliveries as required.
• Keep Contracts and Gaylord's in assigned areas. Know counts of all items and placements in warehouse.
• Conduct a weekly inventory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect forklift at beginning of shift and turn in forklift operator's daily checklist.
• Move trash to compactor as needed.
• Clean dock area during last 10 minutes of workday.
• Adhere to all safety policies and to report violations.
• Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality.
• Support mission statement and activities of other departments.
• Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment and other barriers to persons with disabilities and barriers to employment.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings for transportation & warehouse to review operation of the department, safety and other subjects.
• Report any malfunctions in forklifts and trailers immediately.
• Protect and maintain reputation of Goodwill through contacts with all stakeholders to Goodwill.
• Keep accurate records for Goodwill.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Practice safety at all times i.e. do not run into or bump anything with the forklift or in trailer, do not drive fast and stop for anyone walking around you.
• Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
• If you damage anything, report it immediately
• Shift may extend later than originally scheduled on busy days in peak seasons.
