Job summary

Altium Packaging in Sparta, Tennessee is seeking a Forklift Operator to operate a forklift, stack and retrieve supplies, and ensure materials flow safely through the production line. This 12-hour C shift role requires strict adherence to GMP and safety standards.

You will load and unload materials, monitor usage on the floor, weigh and label items, and assist with inventory as needed. A high school diploma or GED and an OSHA forklift certification are required; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current OSHA forklift driving certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load and unload materials.
• Stack and retrieve supplies while following GMP and safety standards.
• Monitor material usage and supply production lines with raw materials.
• Weigh materials or products and record results.
• Inventory and label, sort, wrap, and tie products as needed.
• Overtime may be required due to business needs.

Location Address:600 Vista Drive, Sparta, Tennessee 38583Work Shift:12hr-C Shift (United States of America)The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift truck to stack and retrieve supplies and materials as well as following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agenciesLoad trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirementsLoad and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting deviceMonitor material usage on work floor and supply production lines with raw materialsWeigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedulesKeep production lines supplied with raw materialsInventory product as needed. And label, sort, wrap and tie productUnload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting deviceOther duties as assigned by managementReasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.Minimum Requirements:Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Current OSHA forklift driving certificationThe requirements listed above are minimum requirements for the job.
