Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a shipping and receiving associate for the second shift to load, unload, and prepare shipments. You will verify incoming and outgoing goods, use MRP data to coordinate parts, and ensure accuracy in packing and labeling. The role requires forklift operation, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Two or more years of forklift driving experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, Plex).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using material handling equipment.
• Move shipments from shipping/receiving to storage using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Wrap and package parts, verify quantities, and prepare packing slips.
• Verify parts against orders; document damages and shortages with buyer/shipper.
• Use MRP system to verify deliveries, manage on-hand parts, and create packing materials.

WORK SCHEDULE - SECOND SHIFT:Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pmThe responsibilities of this position if to prepare parts, and other items for shipment, and to receive, verify, and record incoming materials using MRP system.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Also, additional job duties may be assigned.Loads and unloads trucks using material handling equipmentUses hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment to move shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work areasWraps and packages completed parts and assemblies and boxes for shipment to customer.Performs part validation per written work instructionsVerifies quantities to be part-marked, packaged, and shipped and examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specificationsBy using the company’s MRP system to verify deliveries, put parts on hand and create packing slipsPrepares and secures cartons, crates, pallets, and other containers for shipment of goods.Stamps, stencils, labels, or affixes identifying information and shipping instructions onto cartons, pallets, crates, or containers as requiredDetermines method of shipment and posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage, as necessaryCompares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other recordsUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and communicates with the buyer and/or shipper to reconcile damages and shortages. Routes items to the appropriate departments as requiredMonitors and maintains appropriate inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies.Meets established standards for productivity and quality.
