Job summary

Famous Footwear's Lebanon, TN distribution center is seeking a Forklift Driver- Order Picker on a 1st shift (6:30 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday). You will process inventory, pick orders with a forklift, and ensure accurate shipping labels while maintaining safety and quality in daily operations.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of warehouse experience, be comfortable with RF devices, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This role supports the broader Caleres family and promotes teamwork and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years warehouse and forklift experience preferred.
• Experience using RF devices preferred.
• Must be able to safely operate an Order Picker.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds Labor standards/KPIs.
• Physically and systematically process inventory transactions by case or pair.
• Operate equipment as required by functional area (e.g., cart on erector).
• Navigate warehouse on a forklift to obtain items for customer orders.
• Communicate operational errors to supervisors and seek improvements.

Join Famous Footwear’s Distribution Center in Lebanon, TN as a Forklift Driver- Order Picker on 1st shift. This shift is scheduled for 6:30 AM- 3:00 PM, Monday- Friday.

What We Do – Accountabilities

• Assures property safety procedures are followed.
• Assures compliance of company policies at all times.
• Assures the maintenance of facilities; Housekeeping – 5S
• Assures high quality standards in performance of operational processes are reached.
• Assures daily operations are completed efficiently with daily goals accomplished.

Essential Functions

• Meets or exceeds Labor standards/KPIs
• Physically and systematically process inventory transactions by case or pair through the facility.
• Perform processing activities as defined by the work instruction by functional area.
• Operate equipment as required by functional work area. (for example- Carton erector)
• Work at a steady pace and with a sense of urgency.
• Maintain a high attention to detail.
• Pack cartons in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Ensure the correct shipping label is applied to the outbound carton.
• Perform Quality assurance activities as required.
• Perform value add activities as required.
• Assist in resolution of operational issues.
• Communicate operational errors to supervisors.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement as best practices.
• Adopt and support changes in policies and procedures.
• Perform training while also participating in cross-training activities.
• Maintain equipment and supply stocks.
• Perform 5 S Audit as requested.
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to learn new order processing technology.
• Assist in other areas of the operation.
• Ability to take direction and feedback.
• Ability to comprehend and apply work instructions.
• Navigate through warehouse on a forklift, safely, to efficiently and effectively obtain items for customer orders

Preferred Qualifications & Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years’ warehouse and forklift experience preferred
• Experience using RF devices preferred
• Must be able to safely operate an Order Picker
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without an accommodation
• Experience with Crown equipment a plus
• Able to be on feet for the entire shift.
• May be required to work at heights, such as mezzanines, order pickers, and use ladders.
• Must be willing to learn and be able to show proficiency on different types of PIT equipment as business needs dictate.
• Must be capable of performing basic math.
• Remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Must be able to work extended hours or days
