Job summary

Pratt is seeking a Forklift Driver for the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) in Wichita, KS. This full-time role starts at $21.34 per hour with a $0.75 per hour differential and reports to the Shipping Supervisor.

You will move units between sources and staging areas, keep accurate inventory records, and help with basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping. Must be forklift certified or able to obtain certification, and be able to work weekends and in extreme temperatures.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Experience as forklift operator preferred.

Education/Experience:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Experience as a forklift operator

Description

Moving various sized units and or products from various sources to the next staging area. Responsible for maintaining accurate records as to the location of the each unit moved. Responsible for performing basic equipment maintenance and general housekeeping duties. Assist general operations when needed.

Requirements

Must be capable of getting forklift certified and very safety conscious.

Two years forklift operation preferred.

Experience with “scanner” or “barcode” warehouse management inventory systems preferred. Must have the ability to maintain and or identify equipment maintenance needs.

Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, tape measure, and time management skills are needed.

Must be able to function in extreme temperatures and must be available for weekend work schedules.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.

Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Will be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
