Job summary

Cibo Vita in Totowa, NJ is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move pallets, stage and unload shipments, and support inventory accuracy across shipping and warehouse areas.

You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, perform daily equipment inspections, assist with labeling and product verification, and coordinate with Shipping Supervisors to keep on-time transfers. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand 8–10+ hours, and work overtime or additional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse/distribution environment preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trailers, transfers, and outbound shipments according to shipping schedules.
• Move, stage, and rack pallets in designated systematic locations.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and follow safety protocols.
• Assist in scanning, labeling, and verifying products to maintain system accuracy.
• Support Shipping Supervisors with dock organization and product flow.
• Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies to supervisors.

Job Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, staging, loading, and unloading pallets of finished goods within the shipping and warehouse areas. This role plays a critical part in maintaining on-time transfers, supporting outbound shipments, and ensuring inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trailers, transfers, and outbound shipments according to shipping schedules.
• Move, stage, and rack pallets in designated systematic locations.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and always follow safety protocols.
• Assist in scanning, labeling, and verifying products as needed to maintain system accuracy.
• Support Shipping Supervisors with dock organization and product flow.
• Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately to supervisors.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously
• Ability to bend, twist, and walk throughout the shift
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift 8-10+ hours.
