Job summary

Bimbo QSR in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Forklift Operator/Freezer Loader. The role requires operating a stand-up forklift, moving palletized products to the freezer or trailer, and ensuring proper stock rotation. You will also handle damaged pallets, complete paperwork, and maintain clean, organized work areas in a fast-paced environment.

Friday to Sunday shifts from 5 AM to 5 PM with potential overtime. Safety and GMP adherence are essential as you contribute to efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to move palletized product safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate paperwork and labeling.
• Familiarity with GMPs and workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklift to move pallets from line to freezer, trailer, or storage area.
• Rotate stock and ensure proper product rotation.
• Inspect pallets for damage and remove unfit pallets from service.
• Maintain organization of palletizer magazines and ensure accurate pallet tagging.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow GMPs and safety guidelines at all times.
• Assist with keeping work areas clean and preventing cross-contamination.

Job description

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Forklift Operator/Freezer Loader is a broad scale position that requires skill, patience, and training to fully master. A combination of observation and ‘hands-on experience’ is required to gain confidence in this job. In addition to safely and efficiently transferring palletized products into the freezer, you are required to complete other tasks during your shift. You must be patient and have a sincere desire to learn this position. Detailed duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Using a stand-up forklift, moving pallets of product off the line to the freezer or trailer
• Transferring strapped or wrapped palletized product into the freezer safely and in a timely manner and in proper product rotation
• Monitoring palletized product for rewraps or damaged packages
• Keeping the palletizer magazine filled with the correct pallets for the product you are running ( DO NOT block or put pallets on the white painted inspection aisles
• Monitoring pallet condition and removing broken or damaged pallets from service for repair or disposal and recording on the Damaged Pallet Log
• Removing and emptying scrap product containers from the packaging area
• Keeping pallet tags in numerical order and turning in leftovers at the end of the shift to a supervisor
• With the assistance of the Packaging Utility employee, maintaining the general cleanliness of the monitor/palletizer area
• Accurately and completely filling out all required paperwork for the position
• Observing and complying with posted GMP’s.
• Performs additional Duties and Tasks as assigned by management
• Pay strict attention to detail at all times and keep non-work-related conversations to a minimum
• During prolonged downtime, see supervisor for job duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Irregular hours or periodic overtime required. Occasional exposure to extreme weather situations. Must be able to work in an area that contains dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, cold, noise levels higher than normal and heights. Protective equipment is provided.
