Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Driver / Forklift Operator for a full-time role in Streamwood, IL. The candidate will operate a reach truck in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse setting and support material movement across production and shipping areas.

Shifts available include 1st shift (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a hands-on industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Previous reach truck experience is required.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a reach truck and other powered industrial equipment.
• Move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Load and unload materials as needed.
• Transport materials to designated locations.
• Assist with inventory movement and organization.
• Safely stack and store products and materials.
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
• Inspect equipment before use and report any issues or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work closely with warehouse and production teams to keep materials moving efficiently.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
