Job summary

Remedy Intelligent Staffing in Muscatine, IA is seeking Forklift Operators for a hybrid 2nd/3rd shift, full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. You will unload inbound shipments, pick orders, load shipments, and maintain accurate stock records in a team-oriented warehouse environment.

Candidates should have forklift experience, basic math and PC skills, and the ability to work Monday–Friday 21:00–05:30. This role offers room for advancement and a pathway from temp to hire within the client operation.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience or exposure to a warehouse environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory transactions.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Responsibilities

• Unloads inbound shipments and verifies merchandise against shipping documents.
• Picks orders and prepares for shipment with exact quantities.
• Loads shipments safely and efficiently.
• Locates and relocates merchandise to optimize space and picking efficiency.
• Keeps records of stock moves, receipts, and shipments.
• Operates warehouse equipment safely to prevent damage and injuries.
• Inspects forklifts and reports potential problems to supervisors.
• Performs minor forklift maintenance with available tools.
• Maintains sanitation and food safety in the warehouse operation.

Shift/Hours:

Hybrid 2nd/3rd Full time

Monday – Friday 21:00 PM to 05:30 AM

Pay Rate:

$20.50

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Unloads inbound shipments, verifying merchandise matches shipping documents. Moves merchandise to storage properly documenting put away locations and reporting any shipment discrepancies.
• Picks orders and prepares for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is ready for shipment.
• Properly loads shipments.
• Locates and re-locates merchandise allowing for the best space utilization and picking efficiencies.
• Keeps accurate records of stock moves, receipts, and shipments for reporting to warehouse office personnel.
• Operates warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner to eliminate personal injuries, merchandise damage, and damage to the warehouse.
• Operates various types of attachments and equipment required to handle merchandise.
• Inspects forklifts daily to identify any potential problems with the equipment and reporting these potential problems to Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
• Perform minor maintenance to forklifts that can be
• accomplished with the tools available, and ability of employee. Use of Forklift, Floor Scrubber, and Slipsheet, required.
• Performs or assists in building, grounds, and equipment cleaning. Understands the importance to participate in
• sanitation, pest control, and all other actions that promote food safety within the warehouse operation.
• Supports the company goals, mission, and growth by representing GSTC positively to potential employment
• candidates, customers, and community members when appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience diving a forklift and/or prior exposure to a warehouse environment preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is required as it pertains to inventory transactions and insuring inventory accuracy.
• Must be able to do basic math computation of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Basic PC skills.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of concentration while operating a forklift and documenting inventory transactions.
• Ability to solve problems including space utilization.
