Job summary

Select Custom Solutions, based in La Crosse, WI, seeks a Forklift Driver to support our warehouse operations. You will move bags and materials, read ingredients, complete documentation, and follow batching, loading, and receiving SOPs.

The role requires forklift operation, attention to safety, and teamwork across shifts. The La Crosse plant employs hundreds of staff and offers comprehensive benefits, on-site amenities, and opportunities for career growth within a growing food manufacturing

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate forklift in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Read ingredients and count bags per pallet.
• Complete paperwork and documentation during batching.
• Follow SOPs for batching, truck-loading and freight receiving.
• Lift bags up to 25 kg regularly and up to 45 kg occasionally.

What this role is all about:

We are looking for Forklift Drivers in La Crosse, WI.

The schedule options are:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

The Forklift Driver performs all tasks involved in the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse. The Forklift Driver follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and practices safe work habits and works in all areas of the warehouse. This position regularly handles bags of product that are up to 25 kg. (55.115 lbs.) and occasionally handles bags of product that are up to 100 lbs.

Job Duties:

• Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures for batching procedures are consistently adhered to.
• Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures for truck-loading procedures are consistently adhered to.
• Ensure that Standard Operator Procedures for freight receiving procedures are consistently adhered to.
• Ensure the warehouse is properly organized with products scanned into correct locations.
• Accurately and efficiently read ingredients and count the number of bags per pallet.
• Complete necessary paperwork; ensuring all documentation requirements are met during batching process.
• Work with Quality, Line Leaders/Assistant Line Leaders and Supervisors on requests for additional ingredients as well as clarification on lot quantities of batches.
