Job summary

SUPPLYONE WISCONSIN, LLC is seeking a forklift operator to support daily warehouse functions in the Germantown/ Hubertus area, handling inbound and outbound materials. You will load/unload trailers, scan using RF devices, and move corrugated items to designated locations while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires reading orders, breaking down loads, and verifying information against bills of lading. On-site work with UPS/FEDEX software experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Certified forklift operator with the ability to maintain certification.
  • Ability to interpret warehouse orders, shipping notes and load tags.
  • Accurate data entry for receiving and shipping records.
  • Familiarity with Windows, MS Office and basic warehouse software.
  • Comfort with scanning tools and RF devices.

Responsibilities

  • Unload, receive and quality-check incoming trucks and put away materials.
  • Read orders and determine items to move, gather, or ship.
  • Move materials by forklift; use tablet and RF gun for scanning.
  • Assemble orders, shrink-wrap, and relocate to holding or shipping.
  • Verify counts against bills of lading and upload receipts.
  • Print delivery receipts and assist securing loads with straps/bar.
  • Maintain clean work areas and follow safety regulations.

Job description

SUMMARY: SupplyOne Wisconsin’s forklift operator is responsible for completing daily warehouse functions that will satisfy customer requirements and expectations for maintaining the day-to-day material processing both incoming and outgoing products. This specific role will eventually support new business grpwth located in the Germantown/ Hubertus area. This job requires the employee to load and unload trailers accurately and safely, all while operating a forklift. Duties also include helping co-workers in fulfillment, scanning and physically moving corrugated and consumable units throughout the warehouse to appropriate locations, split load tags, and break down units according to customer requirements and specifications. Duties also include reading and understanding of back log reports, daily shipping logs, load tag notes, and carrying out customer specific loading requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Directly responsible for the unloading, receiving, quality checking of incoming trucks and the putting away of materials as assignedReading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped – understanding load tags and notesMoving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas by forklift or other common material handling toolsLearn and properly utilize the Tablet and RF Gun mounted on forkliftsResponsible for proper usage of dock plates, dock locks and wheel chocksSorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to instructionsFilling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, scanning tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated truckAssembling customer orders from stock and places orders and shrink wraps on pallets or shelves, and/or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping departmentMarking materials with identifying information using appropriate methodCompare identifying information with counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other recordsAccurate recording of amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programPrinting delivery receipts for drivers, and assisting in securing loads with bars/strapsMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulationsFollowing the safety rules and guidelines established for forklift drivers is mandatoryEnsure warehouse is accessible and safeQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and safely. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulationsAbility to become a certified forklift truck operator capable of maintaining forklift certificationAbility to interpret written and visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirementsAdherence to all safety standards set by SupplyOne.Accurate completion of bills of lading and become familiar with various forms that are used and requiredAccurate data entry is required for recording receipts into the system and accurate documentation of product locations after movement of productExperience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable.Able to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job including but not limited to: Microsoft Windows, MS Office, MS Excel, and other proprietary computer programsAble to learn and use a proprietary packaging softwareAbility to work in a timely and productive manner, using problem solving techniques, to meet our customer needsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
