Overview

The Forklift Driver plays a critical role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations by ensuring the safe and accurate transportation, loading, and unloading of materials using specialized equipment. This position directly contributes to the overall supply chain efficiency, inventory accuracy, and timely fulfillment of orders. Forklift Drivers work closely with warehouse supervisors and other operations staff to uphold safety standards while optimizing workflows in a fast-paced environment. Certified expertise and operational reliability are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to safely transport, load, and unload goods and materials within the warehouse or designated areas.
• Use scanning devices to accurately track inventory movement, maintain real-time records, and ensure alignment with inventory management systems.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of forklifts and equipment to uphold operational safety and performance standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to streamline workflows and prioritize tasks as needed for efficient operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid forklift certification recognized by OSHA or equivalent organization.
• At least 2 years of proven experience operating forklifts and handling materials in warehouse or logistical environments.

Preferred Requirements

• Prior experience in fast-paced warehousing or supply chain operations with exposure to high volume or specialized materials.
• Knowledge of advanced safety practices, techniques, or certifications beyond basic forklift training.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or similar platforms.
