Job summary

Alabama Plate Cutting Co. is seeking a Forklift Operator to load trucks, stage inventory for production, and organize warehouse stock using heavy-duty industrial lifts while adhering to strict safety rules.

The role requires operating forklifts, pulling from racks, and loading/unloading shipments with attention to safety and OSHA guidelines. Previous forklift certification and 1–2 years of experience are preferred, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a loud factory environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive heavy-duty and high-capacity forklifts to transport steel sheets, beams, and coils.
• Pull inventory from warehouse racks based on active production orders.
• Load and unload flatbed trucks and shipping containers safely.
• Inspect the forklift daily before use to check fluid levels and brakes.
• Report any equipment damage or safety hazards to the supervisor right away.
• Stack metal products neatly to prevent damage and keep walkways clear.
