Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Dockworker (Hostler) at our Plainfield, IN facility. This role involves moving trailers, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and loading freight at least one day per week. You will work in various shifts to accommodate freight volumes and must meet physical requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Pass a company-paid, post-offer, pre-hire test.
• Available to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers throughout the property.
• Use motorized and manual equipment including pallet jack and forklift.
• Load freight at least 1 day per week.
• Operate a hostler in all weather conditions and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and connect/disconnect a converter dolly (avg weight ~128 lbs).
• Follow safety policies and protocols at all times.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
