Job summary

Broadview, IL is seeking a 1st Shift Shipping Supervisor to lead the Warehouse Team and drive on-time order fulfillment. Compensation ranges from $26.19 to $39.20 per hour, with Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm hours.

The role guides daily shipping schedules, trains staff, and reports warehouse activities to managers. Responsibilities include supervising personnel, ensuring secure loading, maintaining safety and GMP standards, and handling documentation for finished goods and hazmat shipments.

Job description

1st Shift Shipping Supervisor

Warehouse Team

Compensation: $26.19 - $39.20/hour

Hours: Monday - Friday: 6am - 2:30pm

Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting shipping goals for customer orders by providing daily direction, instructions, and training to warehouse personnel and reporting of all warehouse activities to appropriate departments / managers.

Essential Functions

• Planning and assigning work to meet daily shipping schedule.

• Supervises the assigned warehouse personnel and oversees their day-to-day activities.

• Responsible for ensuring secure loading of products to prevent damage. Must report and assist in investigation of damages to product or equipment due to warehouse personnel actions.
• Helps maintain safe and clean work environment.
• Responsible for inspecting all incoming trucks before loading.
• Follow established Allergen Control Program Procedures as it applies to shipping, receiving and warehousing
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all finished goods in warehouse
• Ensure all lot codes are documented and all paperwork is processed daily
• Follows and enforces guidelines for HAZMAT shipments in accordance to IATA, FAA and DOT.
• Enforces and maintains proper storage and identification for HAZMAT inventory.
• Performs any additional tasks / special projects assigned by the manager.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with established policies and procedures.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as complying with all OSHA rules and regulations (THINK “SAFETY FIRST”).

*Ability to recognize unsafe acts and conditions in the facility and implement appropriate corrective actions.

*Ability to fully complete appropriate paperwork related to specific job functions in addition to quality and safety/training.

*Complete all annual training.

*Ability to recognize and report all incidents; even those that do not warrant treatment.

• Review and execute our Food Safety Plan and MFP Mission Statement in order to provide value to each of our customers with safe, relevant, tasty food products; while never compromising quality.
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming and hygiene, etc.
