Job summary

Builders in Grand Island, NE seeks a Yard Loader to join our lumber yard team. You will load and unload lumber and materials from trucks using forklifts, organize yard inventory, and help customers with loading purchases while maintaining safety and efficiency.

This full-time, on-site role offers training, a supportive team, open Monday–Friday hours, and benefits including holidays, employee discount, 401k, and profit sharing. Valid forklift certification preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a material handling or warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload lumber and materials using forklifts and other equipment.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the yard, ensuring accessibility and proper labeling.
• Assist customers with loading purchases and provide excellent customer service.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
