Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator for a 6-week assignment in Greensboro, NC. Pay starts at $17.00 per hour, with shifts 7am to 4:30pm, and full-time/contract status.

You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, load/unload trucks, and support inventory controls while adhering to safety protocols. Must have forklift certification and be able to perform physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
• Proficient in order picking, shipping receiving, and warehouse management procedures.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with forklifts or equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required.
• Basic math skills to accurately record inventory counts and perform calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate records.
• Either currently possesses valid forklift certification (or achieved in the past).

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts lifting tons of pounds and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize products or materials in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Use order pickers, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to retrieve and transport items as needed.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of goods.
• Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Assist with inventory management by accurately recording product movement and counts.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfil orders and meet production goals.
