Job summary

East Coast Metal Distributors is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Garner, NC. The role involves supporting counter sales, greeting customers, verifying item accuracy on pick tickets, and notifying the Warehouse Manager of discrepancies.

You will help unload inbound inventory, prepare packing lists, and assist with shipping orders using company vehicles. The position requires a HS diploma or GED, computer literacy with MS Office, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous counter sales, HVAC, and customer service experience desired.
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to use general office machines and multi-line telephone.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Represent East Coast Metal Distributors by wearing a clean, company-provided uniform and assisting counter sales orders.
• Greet customers and verify items and quantities on pick tickets and transfer requests; notify Warehouse Manager of discrepancies.
• Assist with loading, staging, and shipping orders via LTL, UPS, and company delivery vehicles; unload inbound inventory and document arrivals.
• Submit packing lists for warehouse inventory entry and integrate shipments into inventory.
• Become proficient and certified in Fork Truck Safety and Operations; operate equipment safely and report hazards.
• Maintain a clean, neat warehouse and perform duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
