Job summary

The Clorox Company is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to support day-to-day material handling at our Wheeling, IL facility. You will load, move, and unload raw materials and finished goods, operate palletizers, and ensure precise inventory counts.

You will use SAP for transactions and work with a WMS and RF devices, while maintaining safety standards. Starting pay is 26.00 USD per hour plus 1.35 USD shift differential, with a 6:00 PM–6:30 AM schedule and a 2-2-3 shift rotation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating different forklift types (standup, sit-down, cherry picker, etc.).
• Must complete core competency training.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to use network computer applications and electronic mail.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload all loads of finished goods and raw materials as assigned.
• Move and position finished product or raw materials within the facility.
• Operate palletizer and de-palletizer tasks and assist with operational issues.
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including batteries and chargers.
• Maintain safety, GMP, and housekeeping standards.
• Comply with customer service requirements.
• Perform physical and cycle counts.
• Perform queries in SAP and use WMS and RF devices.
• Maintain current forklift certification and train other FTOs.

Your role at Clorox:

The purpose of this position is to perform all day-to-day activities, with focus on raw materials and finished goods handling, to achieve the department and business objectives. Day-to-day general direction is provided by the Distribution Lead.

Starting Pay Rate: $26.00/HR + $1.35 Shift Differential
Work Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Shift Schedule: 2-2-3 schedule

• Week 1: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on
• Week 2: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off

In this role, you will:

• Load and unload all loads of finished goods and raw materials as assigned.
• Move and position finished product or raw materials into designated areas within the facility.
• Conduct basic palletizer and de-palletizer operations to include unloading of finished goods, supplying product platforms, and assisting to resolve operational problems.
• Safely and efficiently operate all material handling equipment, to include batteries and chargers.
• Maintain all safety, GMP, and area housekeeping standards.
• Comply with all customer service requirements.
• Perform physical and cycle counts.
• Perform query and entry functions in SAP.
• Familiar with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and RF devices.
• Maintain current Clorox Forklift Certification.
• Train other FTOs.
• Perform any assigned duties that fall within the scope of this job as defined by management
