Job summary

Hexacomb is the leading U.S. paper honeycomb manufacturer, seeking a forklift operator for 3rd shift. You will handle forklift operations, wrap materials when needed, and maintain organized stock levels while documenting inbound and outbound materials.

You will use IR scanners to track products, assist shipping/receiving, and ensure safety policies are followed. Candidate must obtain PCA forklift certification within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months of forklift experience.
• Willing to work 3rd shift.
• Able to obtain and maintain PCA forklift license.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
• Keeps stock and materials in orderly fashion.
• Documents materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
• Responsible for pulling job for production, inbound forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped.
• Uses IR scanners and automated system to assign and track products.
• Assists other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance the workload, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning.
• Follows rules and procedures relative to the safe and efficient operation of the forklift, also including reporting any missing, broken, bent or worn parts of fork lift to supervisor and/or maintenance.
• Become Clamp truck certified within 3 months of job.

Hexacomb is the largest manufacturer of paper honeycomb in the United States. We are a leader in helping our customers package, transport and display products of all kinds. A typical Hexacomb plant will have a workforce from 20 to 70 employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Operates wrapping equipment when necessary.
• Keeps stock and materials in orderly fashion.
• Documents materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
• Responsible for pulling job for production, inbound forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped.
• Uses IR scanners and automated system to assign and track products.
• Assists other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance the workload, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning.
• Follows rules and procedures relative to the safe and efficient operation of the forklift, also including reporting any missing, broken, bent or worn parts of fork lift to supervisor and/or maintenance.
• Alert to any obvious defects of incoming material.
• Adheres to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.
• Become Clamp truck certified within 3 months of job.
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED.
• 6+ month's prior experience operating a forklift.
• Must be willing to work 3rd shift.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
• Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PCA certified forklift license.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
