Summary

Forge Tooling Technician role involves providing support in various aspects of tooling and die maintenance, organization, and documentation. Responsibilities include assisting with project coordination, inventory management, basic engineering tasks, shop print interpretation, and equipment operation. This role requires a willingness to learn and develop skills in the field of tooling and die technology, with on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating staff and resources for projects.
  • Support the maintenance of inventory records.
  • Help with the organization and maintenance of tooling manuals and templates.
  • Aid in compliance documentation upkeep.
  • Assist in basic engineering tasks and part modifications.
  • Assist in interpreting shop prints.
  • Assist in material research and specification.
  • Learn to operate lift trucks and maintain equipment.
  • Support proper use of the die wash system.
  • Follow spill prevention protocols.
  • Assist in recommending alternatives for missing or damaged tooling.
  • Learn to identify die types and dimensions accurately.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.
