Job summary

The North Carolina Forest Service within the State of North Carolina’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks a Forestry Technician I to assist with forestry support for landowners, promote urban tree care, and deliver forestry education across communities.

Responsibilities include aiding wildfire suppression planning, emergency response, and coordination with partners. A 90‑day NC license requirement applies, with standard 8–5 hours and occasional after‑hours readiness.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in forestry or natural resources.
