Job summary

West Fraser in Kentucky seeks a highly motivated Procurement Manager to lead the timely purchase and delivery of logs for our sawmill. You will oversee the log quality program, manage overall delivered log costs, and supervise Woodyard operations, with a focus on safety and reliability.

This role requires strong budgeting, forecasting, and problem solving, plus mentoring and team building. A four-year degree in Forestry, Wood Products, Supply Chain, or Business with relevant experience is

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Forestry, Agriculture Science, Wood Products, Supply Chain/Logistics, or Business with 3+ years experience or minimum 7 years in Forestry.
• Safety oriented; strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Basic Qualifications

• Four (4) year degree in Forestry, Agriculture Science, Wood Products, Supply Chain/Logistics, or Business with 3-years experience or a minimum of 7 years experience in Forestry.
• Safety Oriented
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check

This is a safety sensitive position under Arkansas State law.

Preferred skills

• 2 years of transactional negotiation experience
• Familiar with SFI requirements and state best management practices
• Experience with mapping software such as ARC MAP
