Job summary

Interfor seeks Forestry Interns in Port Angeles, Washington for a hands‑on summer role. You will work alongside industry professionals on planning, fieldwork, safety, and responsible forest management across on-site operations.

You’ll gain skills in forest planning, harvesting, and regeneration, using GPS and mapping software, with an anticipated May start for 4–8 months. A living stipend and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Forestry related post-secondary degree or diploma program.
• Basic understanding of safety rules and regulations.
• Physically fit and able to work in challenging weather and terrain conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Get hands-on exposure to forestry operations and sustainable forest management.
• Explore active worksites and learn how forests are planned, harvested, and regenerated.
• Use industry tools and technology, including GPS and mapping software.
• Support projects that help drive safe, efficient, and responsible operations.
