Job summary

The University of Maryland Extension Forestry Extension Program seeks a part-time Program Assistant to support research and education initiatives across Maryland. You will assist with forest field data collection, coordination of workshops and events for key forest stakeholders, and written outreach such as newsletters and Extension publications.

The role interfaces with UMD faculty and external partners statewide, promoting and marketing educational programs and providing field operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field.
• Experience with educational programming, event coordination, and/or workshop support.
• Experience with volunteer management or community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze ecological and silvicultural data in field locations across Maryland.
• Coordinate workshops, events, and field activities for forest stakeholders.
• Prepare educational materials, newsletters, and program documents.
