Job summary

Lincoln County Forestry Land and Parks Department seeks a Forestry Technician or related role to assist in managing county forest resources and parks programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field with three to five years field forestry experience.

Responsibilities

• Carries out timber sale establishment on County forest lands, including cruising timber and marking boundaries.
• Ensures annual allowable cut goals are met and that all sales comply with forest certification standards.
• Plans and supervises planting programs, road/trail construction and maintenance, and related field activities.
• Inspects and assists with tree removal and planting operations on County forest lands.
• Investigates potential issues including theft, trespass, insect or disease concerns, and contract violations.
• Assists with implementing fire control programs and wildfire suppression efforts, when needed.
