Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in silviculture, forest ecology, and timber management.
• Ability to develop forest management plans and conduct inventory assessments.
• Experience with GIS, GPS, and remote sensing for decision support.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement forest management plans based on best practices for sustainability.
• Conduct forest inventory assessments, tree measurements, and growth studies.
• Provide technical assistance to landowners on harvesting and reforestation.
• Monitor forest health, pests, and fire risk; support wildfire prevention efforts.
• Assist with timber sale inspections and compliance reviews.
