Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Procurement Forester to support the Albany Lumber sawmill and Hosford OSB mill south of Albany, Georgia. The role reports to the Wood & Fiber Supply Area Manager and focuses on acquiring pine from timber harvesters and landowners while supporting nearby GP operations.
You will collaborate with the WFS team to oversee raw material acquisition, costs, transport, and inventory, while ensuring health, safety, and environmental policies are followed.
Georgia-Pacific's Wood and Fiber Supply (W&FS) organization ensures that the company's mills have a reliable supply of logs, wood fiber, and chips to sustain its tissue, packaging, paper, and building products manufacturing operations. W&FS operates in approximately 15 U.S. states and sources its wood from private lands owned by industrial, institutional, and individual landowners.
