Overview

Our Elkins, WV forestry team seeks a highly motivated, Full Time Forestry Technician to join our progressive, growing team. The ideal candidate will reside near one of these five (5) West Virginia communities: Elkins, Buckhannon, Weston, Flatwoods, or Summersville. A two-year or four-year degree in Forestry or closely related field is required, or applicants must have 2+ years of practical field forestry/timber procurement experience.

• Other duties related to forest management for our long‑term clients

Principal Requirements

• Associate's (or higher) degree in Forestry, Forest Technology, or Environmental Biology, or 2 years minimum of practical field forestry experience is required.
• Individuals with a B.S. degree in Forest Science/Forest Management, Natural Resources, or Environmental Sciences are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Must be competent in tree species identification, and with forest mensuration techniques, including point sampling, plot sampling, and 100% inventory methods.
• Basic knowledge of common computer office software.
• Self‑motivated and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to work out of town as assigned for 1–2 week time periods.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Compensation: $18.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience; paid overtime.
