Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with two years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Completion of NC FFEO training within two years of hire.
• Possession of NC CDL on hire date or permit with 90 days to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate heavy equipment such as bulldozer, motor grader, or excavator.
• Perform minor equipment repairs and assist with major repairs.
• Operate a truck tractor with low-boy trailer over roads in various conditions.
• Respond to emergencies, wildland fires, and natural disasters; participate on incident management teams.
